First Annual Bone Zone Banked Slalom

Shred NW Magazine is putting on the First Annual Bone Zone Banked Slalom at Timberline Lodge on March 26th. Its gonna be an event to remember!
Snowboarders only. Pro, Amateur, Masters, Grom, and Media/Industry categories. Plus 10 skiers in the token skier division (invite only). Everybody gets to ride the top course, but the lower course is only for the pro class, because its gonna be just that GNARLY!
Cash prizes for pro class. All hand dug and cut with jumps, hips, banks, run gaps, finish-line booter, and more throughout the courses. Each racer gets a Racer Bag with lots of goodies, Wild Card Movies will be on hill to film the event, brands will be demoing gear from next year, plus lots of great giveaways and raffle items.

Accommodations are available through The Resort At The Mountain in Welches, OR. The rate is variable and starts at $111 (a 30% discount). Rooms can be booked by using booking code BZBS when making a reservation online at http://www.theresort.com or by calling 877.439.6774.

Registration Info:
$35 for registration with no lift ticket, or $65 for registration and a lift ticket – due morning of event. Download and print the BZ Banked Slalom Competitor Profile and the Releases and Indemnity Agreement and make sure you have them filled out and with you the morning of the event. Registration starts at 7:30 am on March 26th in front of the ticket office.
Preregister by sending email titled BZBS REGISTRATION with your First Name, Last Name, Mailing Address, Email Address, Birthdate, Phone#, Emergency Contact/Phone #, Sponsors, and Category to publisher@shrednwmagazine.com. This is probably a good idea, because there are a limited amount of spots, and they are filling up fast.

Is there a charitable aspect to the banked slalom? I heard rumors of helping disabled kids with proceeds. I’m interested in volunteering/donating to charitable snowboarding events, If you have any info or contacts that I get in touch with regarding charitable events I would appreciate it. The proceeds go the the rider cash purse. If someday the event becomes profitable enough to pay a rider purse and have left over funds, we will be extremely excited to add a charitable donation to the event.
